Location

Victory Memorial Drive. The race begins and ends at Webber Park in north Minneapolis at Webber Parkway and Colfax Ave N., northwest of downtown Minneapolis.

Take I-94 to Dowling Ave exit. Go west 2 blocks to Lyndale, right (north) 4-1/2 blocks to Webber Parkway. Left 3 blocks to race start. Approximately 4 miles north of downtown Minneapolis, near 42nd and Lyndale Ave N.

Course

This course is flat, straight and fast! It starts on Webber Parkway near Colfax and proceeds west on Victory Memorial Drive to the flagpole. It then turns directly south to Lowry to the halfway point turn-around and returns the same route, finishing on Webber Parkway near Bryant Ave. USATF certified. Split at 1 mile. The 5K course is flat asphalt, out and back.

The Victory Lap Kids 1/2 Mile Fun Run course will start on the road, enter the park, circle a pond and finish by the library.

Results

Results posted at finish, at this web site and published in Run Minnesota. Runners whose email addresses are known will receive individual results by email on race day.

Awards

Cash prizes ($300, $200, $100) to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place overall finishers and $150 to first Masters in the men's and women's 10K.

Awards go to the first place finishers in the 10K and 5K, men and women: 19 and under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+ and wheelers.

Long sleeve technical T-shirts to all participants in 10K and 5K. Short sleeve t-shirts for the Victory Lap Kids Fun Run participants available on race day.

Double Header

Awards will also be made to the runners who complete both the 5K and 10K in the lowest total time (add $5 to the single-race entry fee).

Entry Fee

$30 pre-registered for 5K or 10K
$40 race day

$5 discount to MDRA members for either race.

$40 (pre-registered only) for 5K/10K "double header." No race day registration for double header.

$8 Victory Lap.

Beginning Monday August 12th, 2013 you may register in person at Marathon Sports in Minneapolis (50th & Penn). You will be able to get you race number and long sleeve tech shirt when you register at Marathon Sports.

On Saturday August 31st and Sunday September 1st, everyone who has registered may pick-up their race number and long sleeve tech shirts at Marathon Sports during regular store hours.

Race day entry and number pick-up beginning at 6:30 a.m. at Webber Park Library.

Numbers are not transferable. Fees are not refundable.

Safety

Headphones, baby strollers, skates and dogs are not allowed on the race course.
