3rd Annual

Sop's Hop 5k Run & 2mi Walk

Sunday, September 14th, 2008
10am

Minneapolis, Minnesota

Mark Sopko was a Minneapolis architect and an avid runner. In March 2006, after a decade long battle with Lymphoma, Mark passed away. Mark's good friend Michael Schrock posed the idea of a memorial run; thus Sop's Hop 5k was born. In February, 2008, Michael was tragically struck by a vehicle and killed while on an early morning walk. This race is a celebration of both Mark & Michael, friends whose lives were cut short far too early.

The race follows one of Mark's favorite running routes along the scenic Mississippi River. Sop's Hop 5k is a USATF Certified 5k Course (MN02025RR) timed by Rick Recker.

Proceeds from registration fees will benefit the Lymphoma Research Foundation.
