Register in person before April 5, 2008 at Golden Valley Park & Recreation, 200 Brookview Parkway (hours: 8 am - 4:30 pm). After hours, you may drop your registration in the box marked "Utility" in front of City Hall .

Pre-registration fee is $20 if received by March 1 and $25 if received by Friday, April 4.
Race Day
Register at Meadowbrook Elementary School, 5430 Glenwood Ave., on race day between 7:15 and 8:00 am. $35

Race Packets

Pre-registered runners can pick up race packets - and long-sleeved T-shirts at Golden Valley Park & Recreation (200 Brookview Parkway, 763-512-2345) on Thursday, April 3, 12:00 to 4:00 pm and Friday, April 4, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. All others can be picked up on race day beginning at 7:30 am.

Course

The race course runs a relatively flat loop through residential Golden Valley. Start and finish will be at Meadowbrook Elementary School, 5430 Glenwood Ave., (one block west of Hwy 100 and Glenwood on Zenia). Water stops and post-race complimentary snacks will be provided.

Race Results

Runners' times will be posted at the end of the race, printed in MN Running Track magazine, and posted on the Web at www.raceberryjam.com.

2007 results

10K

Awards

Medals will be given to the first, second, and third place male and female runners in each age category (19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over) for both the 5K and 10K Runs. Walkers will not receive awards.

Golden Valley Human Services Foundation

Mission

Identify the community's needs for human services.
Develop guidelines to evaluate funding requests and allocate to human service organizations that meet the identified needs of the community.
Determine funds needed and strategies to provide funding through charitable gambling proceeds, fundraisers, or community events.

Guidelines for Funding

The service provided is for Golden Valley residents at a time of crisis or need.
The services must not be duplicated by a level of government.
The service must include cooperation or collaboration between organizations.
The organization should use the funds granted by the Foundation to serve Golden Valley citizens.
Funding shall be granted to human service organizations and not tan individual or individuals.
Funding will not be granted to any organization licensed in the City for lawful gambling operations.

The Golden Valley Human Services Foundation allocates money to the following organizations:

Home Free Shelter (a domestic abuse program)
YMCA Detached Work Program (a program to help delinquent teenagers)
Suburban Northwest Dinner At Your Door (delivers lunch to people that need care)
PRISM (a local food shelf)
