Hammer is a non-profit organization supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. Our mission is to provide individuals with the opportunity to experience life to its fullest. Through innovative programs, Hammer helps create stable, secure home environments that deeply enrich the quality of life for the individuals we support. Our offices are located in Wayzata and the individuals we support live in the cities of Wayzata, Minnetonka, St. Louis Park, Golden Valley, Plymouth, New Hope, and Maple Grove. Currently, we support over 200 individuals in homes and apartments.

Run for Ralph is a 5K fun run and 1 mile walk to benefit the individuals with developmental disabilities who are supported by Hammer Residences, Inc. The proceeds from registrations and pledges raised from the race/walk will be dedi- cated to Hammer's Quality of Life Fund which directly benefits those we sup- port.

Race time:

8:30 a.m.

LOCATION:

Cheshire Park-on Cheshire Lane across from 301/401 Carlson Pkwy in Minnetonka Cheshire Park, east of Carlson Parkway on Cheshire Lane in Minnetonka, Minnesota. Overflow parking is available in Medica parking lot across the street (301 Carlson Parkway) Cheshire Park is owned by Carlson Real Estate. Carlson Real Estate Company is an affiliate of Carlson Companies, whose well-known global brands include Radisson, T.G.I.Friday's, and Carlson Wagonlit Travel. It is owned by the family of Curt Carlson, founder of Carlson Companies.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

7:30 a.m. Registration
8:30 a.m. 5K race begins
9:30 a.m. 1 mile fun run/walk begins
10:00 a.m. Award Ceremony

PRIZES:

Every participant will receive a gift bag and t-shirt.
Prizes will be given to the top male and female in the following age groups: 15 and under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 +

PLEDGES

Prizes for pledges raised & turned in day of race:

$250: Duffle Bag $500-Nylon folding chair
$1000: receive $100 gift card to purchase variety of items with Hammer logo
Top Pledge to receive grand prize for turning in pledges.

Ask friends, family and co-workers to sponsor you at the 2007 Run for Ralph to benefit those served at Hammer. Contributions are due with pre-registration form. Please add total to pledges in payment information on registration form

Quality of Life Fund:

Since only basic necessities are covered through government funding, these dollars enable residents to purchase clothing and furniture as well as to participate in camp, go on vacation, or to attend a favorite sporting event. Others receive needed medical or dental work, which is not reimbursed by Medicaid.
