About the Race:
The race will be held in Owatonna, Minn., "Home of Minnesota's largest County Fair." Proceeds from this event will be used to provide scholarship opportunities for Owatonna High School seniors through a "Strive Program," sponsored by the Owatonna Rotary. Following the race, we invite you to visit and enjoy the activities at the Steele County Free Fair. Last year's run drew 408 registrants. Participants will receive a Dry-Fit t-shirt for participating. Note: race numbers are non-transferrable and fees are non-refundable.
The Course:
The course is certified and will start on the high school track, proceed through residential areas on the east side of Owatonna and finish back at the high school on the stadium track. The course is flat and fast. Runners will be "chip-timed". KidŐs 400M / 800M Runs will be held on the stadium track (7 yrs. and under: 400M | 8 to 12 yrs. old: 800 M).
Directions to High School, 333 East School Street:
Take the Bridge Street exit, off of I-35. Head east to Grove Street (Bridge Street turns into Main Street at Oak Avenue). Turn right on Grove Street. Proceed to the south parking lot of the high school by the tennis courts.
Race Day registration and pick-up of participant race numbers will take place in the south parking lot, beginning at 7:30 a.m.
