History
The Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC) Program was established in 1926 to provide a broad base of citizens knowledgeable in the arts and sciences of Naval Warfare. The program provided an opportunity for young men and women to undertake careers in the naval profession.
Introduction
On September 20th, 2008, the Minnesota Naval ROTC Unit will be holding their 7th annual 5K and 10K race. This race is held annually to raise money in order to support the NROTC's annual events such as Drill and Rifle competitions, Endurance Challenges and Mess Night. Your donation will ensure a successful fund raising event and will also help support the Naval and Marine Corps midshipmen in their officer training.
Start time of the race is 9 a.m. on Sept 20th, 2008 at Fort Snelling State Park.
Directions:
The park entrance is off State Highway 5 at Post Road near the Minneapolis/ St. Paul International Airport.
Race fees:
$20 online, $25 race day.
