USATF North Region Open Outdoor Track & Field Championships

Held in conjunction with the USATF Minnesota Open & Masters Outdoor Track & Field Championships and the Mid-America Masters Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The North Region of USATF includes the following Associations: Dakotas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Lake Erie, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri Valley, Nebraska, Ohio, Ozark, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

Facility

The 9-lane Mondo track at Klas Field, Hamline University, St. Paul. From Interstate 94, go north on Snelling one block past Hewitt to Taylor.

Schedule

Order of running events: steeplechase (9:00 a.m.), 5,000m race walk, 5,000m run, high hurdles (10:30 a.m.), 1500m, 100m, 400m, 800m, 300/400m hurdles, 200m, 4X100, 4X400. Field events start at 9:30 a.m.: high jump, pole vault (10:00 a.m.), long jump, triple jump (after LJ), discus, shot put (10:30 a.m.), hammer (11:00), javelin (grass). Schedule will be based on entries received by Tuesday, June 8; events may not be conducted if no entries are received by then. To confirm the schedule call (612) 209-7772 after June 8.

Entry Fee

$15 first event, $4 for each additional event if postmarked by June 5. Late entries $20 first event and $5 for each additional event, pending availability of lanes.

Eligibility

Men and women 19 years of age and older. All competitors must be registered with USA Track & Field or have competed for a collegiate team in 2010. To register with USATF, simply add $30 to your entry fee. Your registration will then be valid through Dec. 31, 2010.

Minnesota Association members who are Open athletes and who register for the USATF Minnesota Association Open & Masters Outdoor Track & Field Championships will automatically be included in the North Region Open meet.

Medals to the top three male and female finishers.

Print out, fill in and mail the registration form to postmarked by Saturday, May 31.
