This year’s new course is a fast and mostly flat course created because of the final stages of construction in and around Shady Oak Lake. The race will start just outside the Fire Station on 17th Ave., and 1st St. S, just west of Central Park. The runners go down 17th and turn east on Excelsior Blvd to 11th Ave. A south turn on 11th Ave. takes runners down to Smetana Blvd where they will run a loop on Smetana Drive before looping back in the opposite direction back to the Fire Station. Runners will then continue past the fire station and take a right turn down a spectator lined Main Street just ahead of the Raspberry Festival Parade.
