HEART OF THE PRAIRIE 5K and 8K WALK/RUN ROAD RACES

This is the second annual 5K and 8K walk/run for Belview, Mn. It is being held in conjunction with Belview's Old Sod Day celebration. In addition to the road races, there will also be:

LOCATION

Belview is about 2 hours southwest of the Twin Cities. From the north, take Highway 212 to Sacred Heart, turn South on County Road 9, (County road 9 turns into County Road 7 as you cross the bridge from Renville to Redwood County). Continue on County road 7 to Belview. OR take Highway 12 west to Willmar. Then highway 71 south to Redwood Falls. Then west on Highway 19 to County Road 7 and north 5 miles to Belview on County Road 7. OR from the east, take State Highway 19 (from South Metro area off U.S. 35) to Redwood Falls. Continue west on State Highway 19, another 10 miles to County Road 7. Then turn north to Belview.

Entry Fee

For the 8K and 5K run/walk, the rate for adults is $20.00, which includes a t-shirt.

For the 2K family run/walk, the rate is free for those 1 through 6 years of age and $5.00 for 7 through 12. The t-shirts for these children's races are $5.00 each.

COURSE

The 5K and 8K courses are flat and fast, with parts of the course being tar and parts being gravel.

The 5K and 8K are out-and-back events. Both events start and stop on Main Street,Belview.

There will be water stops at the half way points. Refreshments will be available after the events.

AWARDS

Trophies for 3 top men and women for 5K and 8K.

Pre-registered runners/walkers will be guaranteed a t-shirt. If we run out one will be mailed to you.
