Happy 4th of July! This year marks the ninth annual Fourth of July race held in historical St. Peter, Minnesota. There is also a 5K Fun Walk, Toddler Trot for ages 1-8, and 1 Mile Kids Run for ages 8-12.

This year there is a circus theme for the 4th of July in St. Peter. Runners are encouraged to dress up in your favorite circus attire- there will be prizes awarded for best costumes etc. Medal winners and costume winners are invited to walk through our famous 4th of July parade.

CERTIFICATION:

The Freedom Fun Run 8K race is a USATF certified course.

LOCATION:

St. Peter is located on HWY 169. ten miles north of Mankato and about 60 miles south of the cities. The park is on the south end of town on Minnesota Ave. (169).

COURSE:

The course will begin and end at Minnesota Square Park. The course will run through part of the business district, past the historical Cox House, and through the beautiful Gustavus Adolphus College campus. The walk and Toddler Trots also start at the park.

ELIGIBILITY:

Open to all men and women. Race officials have the right to disqualify any runner for inappropriate behavior. There is no limit on number of runners.

There are absolutely no pets, bicycles or roller blades allowed on the course. Runners may push baby strollers. Thank you for your cooperation.

REGISTRATION & FEE:

8K Run and Walk
$17 by Friday, June 13 (T-shirt guaranteed)
$22 Saturday, June 14-Thursday, July 3
$25 on race day (T-shirt not guaranteed; will not be mailed if we run out; pick up only)

Toddler Trot & 1 mile kids run
$8 by Wednesday, July 3
$10 on race day

PACKET PICK-UP:

Runners may pick up their race information and T-shirts starting at 6:00 a.m. at the registration tables located at the Park.

Awards

Awards for the top three male and female finishers overall and for each age group for the Fun Run will be given at 8:45 a.m. Random prize drawings will also be distributed at this time Please check the registration tables before you leave to see if you have won. Prizes will not be mailed.
